Bilge and aerator pump on Navigator 175

    I just got a used Navigator 175 and I am in the process of replacing the aerator pump. Next to the thru hull opening for the aerator is another thru hull with a cover on it. I believe it is attached to a Rule 500 bilge. Why would this be installed below the water line? I am confused.

    You may be right. I am going to go take another look at it. That makes more sense then a bilge.
