Lets see. Pre-Thanksgiving Day Sale, Early Black Friday sale(Thursday night), Black Friday sales, pre-Cyber Monday sale(Sunday) and now Cyber Monday sales. What do these all have in common? They all appear to be the same flipping sale just pushed up to the next made up shopping day. Enough.

I see it more as a marketing ploy rather than a scam but I agree its annoying.

I got scammed at Thorne Brothers on Sunday over a new Hummingbird for the boat. They still had the same pricing as Friday. Now Im stuck with a extra $150 I need to find something to do with.

I waited until Rogers Sporting Goods put their “Cyber Monday” sale ad out last night. Saw it and noticed that everything that was on sale beginning Friday was still the same price and on sale. I was hoping waders would drop even more in price. Oh well, I got a new set for 50% off, cant complain.

I loved getting scammed…I don’t care what they call it. Bought 3 pair of running shoes for all next year at 66% off. Nice time of year to pick up all your toy maintenance parts/oils as well. The wife and I usually buy gift cards to our favorite restaurants we dine at throughout the year and end up getting free $$$/gift cards. My local liquor store has knock out prices on Jameson right now…Black barrel for $19.99! yep-loaded up on that.

I’m terrible at shopping for others. I just end up with a pile of stuff for me! I usually end up giving cash.

Last year I saw something on sale at the end of October and thought I would wait for black Friday / cyber Monday to pick it up cheaper. That item was $25 more on black Friday. There are a lot of good deals to be had but like anything else you must keep an eye out. If you are not sure you can always check https://camelcamelcamel.com/

I did pick up a full set of Striker Ice Hardwater bibs and jacket for 260.00 for the set. Normally 225.00 a piece. Fleet Farm was a zoo for that deal. I figure my brother can finally retire his original blue Ice Armor suit. I owe him for all the free babysitting over the years. Now that he has kids of his own he would never spend that kind of money on himself so I figured it’s the least I could do.

I am all for a great deal like everyone else. Just kind struck me how the same places sent out the same ads each day under a different sale.

I saw very little different in the sales before and during black friday, no huge discounts like in the past to get you in the door.
