Much of the fiberglass used in the USA … both by consumers and by industry … was coming from China. Ocean freight costs and delays have really hampered that supply chain.

US producers know their competition and have raised prices agressively as their demand has picked up.

On the labor front, I read somewhere that we are short some 80,000 truckers. Why is that? I don’t think it’s a biden problem as we have been short truckers for years. I’m curious why? Aside from the social problems it can cause with being gone a lot seems like a fairly good job. Hoping some folks who have been in the industry has some insights.

I worked as a fleet manager and freight broker during the pandemic and a lot of drivers quit as there were no loads to move because of shut downs. When there was something to move, no one wanted to move it for pennies, as was the case when something showed up. I no longer am in the business as the fleet I managed went under.

They are both hard to look at or you don’t want to see either one in someone’s mouth.

When I was younger we had to walk to school up hill both ways in the snow storm and rain. Did not cost a dime.

I had to do the same, but I would whistle 8efe28aeba5bfd44 to make the time go faster smash yay

Anyone see the price of the Fishhawk X2 (depth probe)? Marine General has a Black Friday “deal” for 800. I thought they were running close to 700 earlier in the summer! I know they have been hard to find, but that hurts.

Pretty sure it’s always been $799. My guess is that it’s a contracted price so only the manufacturer can authorize a sale.

Price doesn’t matter much if there is no inventory. I ordered a fuel pump for a 25 Johnson 2 weeks ago…. Nothin and why do they list it as “in stock?

I was able to get my new clutch cable for my Honda rototiller. $22 for the cable, and $15 shipping, from Honda to the Honda dealer. The warehouse is like 10 miles away. Whitehouse spokesperson on tv said. “We didn’t think the manufacturers and retailers would pass the increase costs onto the consumer” doah
