My wife’s family has a lake cabin on Movil Lake up by Bemidji. We were thinking of going up there this weekend and I am wondering if there is ice yet on Movil, Big Turtle, or Lake Bemidji? Also wondering if anyone has any experience ice fishing Movil or Big Turtle? I’d like to try to get on a good panfish bite. Thanks!
No clue but some fond memories of Movil. An Aunt and Uncle had a place there for years before moving to Alexandria recently. Great little lake.
I’m not familiar with the current conditions, so tread carefully but I’d think you should have some ice. Just south of there I know a lot of the smaller lakes are good.
I have seen houses out on Moville and big turtle but the warm weather has hurt the ice some. Be careful.
