Big Thunder Lake near Remer?

Heading up in two weeks for a bachelor party at a cabin on this lake. Wondering if I should bring the boat? Leaning towards yes after looking at the lake survey and the numbers/size of smallmouth.

Anybody fish this lake before?

I’ve never fished it but I know some who do.

There’s no walleyes in there. If there were, they wouldn’t be suspended over deep water either.

Well then every one on this site will be happy to know I’ll be bass fishing if I go….I know it’s a travesty…..

I was there on a VRBO a few weeks ago. Bass were still on beds. Walleye are in the lake. Midlake humps were just starting to see walleye. They are transitioning.
Look for areas with rock and sand for smallmouth.

Great fish! Guess I’m bringing the boat!

Every bachelor or party weekend I brought the boat to I never launched the boat, once.

Don’t even bother bringing it anymore.

Fire14, when you drive through Outing just keep on driving cuz there ain’t no walleyes in Roosevelt.
The guys I know that fish Thunder say it holds some big Eyes and do better at night. The bonus is definitely the Bronzebacks they have in there.
Thunder also has “Deer Haven” supper club that you can boat to and docks to tie up to.
If your up there on the 20th swing on in to Emily Day.

Yeah I know, but when I saw the smallmouth numbers I have to bring it and it will get launched.

Thanks EPG. I’ll be up there the 19th and 20th. Not exactly sure what the plans are yet though. I do like those small town supper clubs though. Always seem to have great food.
