How are the Gophers gonna pad their record without 3 cup cakes in non-conference games?

The only sport I was looking forward to watching was college football. They’re not paid yet and college kids typically speak out about liberal crap whether they’re athletes of not, I wss dumb enough to get brainwashed with that liberal crap in college too so I can’t fault them for it too much.

It seems a lot less offensive when the people bitching about how bad this country is aren’t rich and famous and have been treated like kings by this country. In my opinion it makes it a lot easier to stomach…and hopefully they’re smart enough to tone down the rhetoric and stand for the anthem since they’re out there representing the states on the jersey not just themselves.

So you are saying the unpaid labor(most do have a scholarship) that is needed on the field for the Athletic Departments to get their millions of dollars which helps other sports(that nobody cares about) from getting cut need to keep their mouths shut because white people don’t like it and just want to be entertained?

    Gophers Suck. Go Bucky.

    $$$ and recruiting.

Had to find the official Big 10 statement humorous of how 5 weeks ago, when the decision was made to suspend the season, the experts said it was likely unsafe to play the season, but now 5 weeks later, those same experts said it was likely safe again. Next to nothing Covid-related has changed in those 5 weeks aside from news of a rushed vaccine with limited appeal.

I’m excited to watch the Gophers again.

Not completely true. Testing has become more widely available with faster results. Could be a by-product of less people wanting to be tested too.

Wisconsin might have a little problem with 42 players and staff testing positive

My son was sent home from school with a fever. He was tested for Covid and Strep. Had the results in 2 hours.

You Bucky fans are trying to hard to get a rise out of the Gopher faithful. Try the term ” Smoke & Mirrors” that will get the reaction you are looking for.

I believe a major reason they reversed course was that every player was to be tested daily and the results were to be relayed that same day. I wouldn’t expect to see many fans in the stands for these games though. Gonna be tough to do “jump around” at Camp Randall without any students present to do it lol

I thought the biggest concern was around the number of athletes getting Myocarditis. I believe the PSU Doc said a third of the positive test had Myocarditis, but that may have been walked back a bit.

I’m surprised the covid numbers are being released. I assumed the Big 10 was going to be like the other conferences and ‘not disclose results because of privacy laws’. I’m guessing the slimy coaches like Harbaugh, Day, and Fleck will do everything they can to cover up results to keep players on the field.

Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly what I’m saying.

PJ Fleck is the highest paid state worker for the state of MN. No college football means more government subsidies needed to fund institutions that are already heavily subsidized.

Plus there’s the aspect that the kids want to play. Not letting them play and losing a year due to a pandemic that never was isn’t fair. These kids have sacrificed a lot and do a very good job representing themselves, their school, and the state they play for. They deserve a season.

Same for the Nebraska schedule, it looks pretty rough unless their ability to practice through the shutdown will payoff. Out of the gate with Ohio and Wisconsin is ass backwards from the norm, of 4 losses by the time we play the power teams.
