Anyone have an update on how the ice is coming along out on Big Stone? Getting some ice on the river with the cold blast this week. Hoping to see Big Stone frozen so we can get out there as soon as possible. Checking to see if anyone has been out checking on the ice there in the last week?
As of Yesterday Big Stone was fully iced over. It took awhile to get there with high water, Always windy conditions, and there’s a lot of springs and creeks coming in. The bait shop as on this morning hasn’t posted ice checks yet – Not safe ice yet and we have some windy and alot of warm wx in the forecast. If we would have 3-4 more days of Real cold it would of been a go. I wouldn’t be surprised if alot of the lake open up again by the weekend.
