Nothing better than opening the cabin or camper. That first fire of the year is the best!

I beg to differ – The first Beer is best, fire is a close second.

Going up to the area this weekend. What have the panfish been doing? I assume no spawn yet.

I was in the Mcgregor area on May 12 and the warmest water I found was still only 54 deg. I’d say spawning is still to come.

Rained like mad this weekend. Temps will be warmer and Memorial Weekend is shaping up to be a good fishing weekend! Could be a little early for the spawn but you never know.

I plan to hit Hoseshoe for some panfish and a few drinks at the tavern over there. I may go to Cole lake too, It has a lot of good eater size bass.
