Big Pike Lakes

Any lakes worth targeting for big pike in the Brainerd, Hackensack, Longville area? Will be there middle/late next week, send public or private message. Thx, -Fry

Thanks. Only fished Gull a couple times, caught lots of snot rockets, been awhile but maybe they’re bigger now …?

Well of course I’m biased on this, but Mille Lacs easily holds the biggest pike in the greatest numbers if you consider Mille Lacs in the “Brainerd area”. I have caught, I have seen them, I’ve seen pictures, heard reports, caught them, seen them…OK I’m being redundant but I’d beg anyone to argue that it wouldn’t hold the best potential in that area. Otherwise, Longville area…Wabedo, Little Boy, and that chain of lakes has a protected slot on northerns and I’ve seen a few nice one’s out of there. Good luck, make sure to report back how you did!

Heading to Woman lake after work tonight. Plan to spend the weekend chasing SM bass, but will probably spend some time chasing Pike as well. I’ll let you know if we get into any of them of any size

Haven’t fished most lakes in the area but I did pull a 38 incher out of Upper Gull on a buzzbait a number of years ago. Biggest pike I’ve caught to date and we have had good success catching pike in the upper 20 inch range on gull as well.

Thanks thump, have fished Woman before usually in late June and it will be different (I’m assuming better) in early June for SMB at least and hopefully pike too!
