Big perch from Idaho!

    Huge perch! Did they get the weight wrong? There are lots of 2 lb perch caught every year… seems unlikely that it would be a world record. Awesome fish either way

    It’s supposedly the “tip up” world record. Not sure if they have an in line reel, spinning reel, hand line, tip down and rattle reel categories but it sure seems to be a reach to give out world records for fish that are smaller than most state records.

    It’s not an all time world record like the story suggests.

    It was caught last March, a new Idaho State record. Nothing taken away from this girl, still a dandy fish.

    It seems there are too many “feel good” world records kept now days. Indeed this fish is the World Record perch “caught on a tip-up”. For instance, the SD state record is 2-12, hers is 2-11.

    I saw the pic and that what a fat perch! Would love to find a hog like that. That will be a story for her and her dad to tell for years!

    I wish they would list the length when they show these big fish.
