That’s awesome. Best of luck with everything.

It’s been refreshing to see you guys posting a bit more around here again with the forum kicking out some good outdoors related content. There’s no show or outdoor forum quite like this place, and I hope it just continues to grow.

Congrats, that’s awesome. I’ve been a forum member since maybe 2015(?) and in that time I’ve seen a lot of growth out of IDO like the expansion of the summer Go Angling Youtube series, increased and higher-profile sponsorships, expanding into other retail stores with your clothing, and now this. What started you guys out was obviously your ability to get on fish but IDO is also quite the successful business.

Congrats! Always exciting to see businesses succeed and grow.

Just a few words of caution. First is space. I see many people build for their current needs or only accounting for 5 to 10% growth. Budget is always a driving factor. But going 12500 and having 5k sqft to lease out does a lot. They pay for the build out, revenue to IDO, and having space in reserve doesn’t hurt.

Additionally, keep a close eye on the entire bidding process. This pandemic has inflated some prices or left availability in question.

I just built a 800k home and had another client with a similar plan. I updated all my bids from 2019 on this original house to get them an accurate budget and it jumped to 940k. Not trying to make it a scary process, just make sure you look at or consider alternatives

Good luck toast toast toast toast toast

Agreed on planning well beyond immediate needs. The new build has 8 more offices than we have at our current space. I will be able to double head count over the next few years.

I am not interested in leasing any of the space to another business. I plan to be an excellent landlord to myself. grin

The arrangement I have with our general contractor provides me review and approval authority on all bids for work. While I trust the general contractor I did want to retain a high level of decision making power when it came to controlling costs.

Congratulations! Hope this means bigger and better things to come on an already amazing show!! Will the new space have any for a retail show floor where fans can buy IDO gear and some of your sponsors gear we see on the show?
