Many of you know “Big E” or Erick Anderson from Ido or fishing pool 4.

He could use a little help right now. He was transported to Mayo on Saturday with double pneumonia and put on a ventilator yesterday (Sunday).

For those that haven’t met him, he’s an all around great guy, fisherman and family man with a sense of humor.

I’m hoping for the day he logs in and gives me crap for posting this… I can’t wait!

    Another update from his mother:

“well – I just heard he pulled out the tube himself this a.m! So, the plan had been to try it slowly. Still needing O2 and monitoring other things.”

Sounds like Erick to me. )

    Update:

Jamie Ritter sent an update last night that included a photo of Erick (with 02 tubes under his chin). He had a walleye eating grin on his face. )

He still has a long way to go before being discharged but getting that vent removed gave everyone a sigh of relief!

I haven’t talked with Big E yet, but according to Mr Ritter who has talked with him, he’s doing very well. Out of the woods and all that.

Thanks for the prayers! It really could of gone either way!

Awesome to hear, as others mentioned I did not know him personally, but very happy to follow this and find out he is ok.

Brian do you know if he has influenza? I know a few people that had it that still after 2 weeks are still having issues breathing. One that is 29 years old had to go to the hospital twice for oxygen. The 3rd a 23 year old son of a friend of mine got double pneumonia from it and didn’t make it. This seasons flu is a nasty one. Glad Big E is doing better.

The flu this year is no joke! It went through our house 2 day fevers and shortness of breathe! Been over a week ago and still have symptoms! Hopefully he’s doing good!

Man, that is heartbreaking! Far too young.
