So you are blatantly saying that girls who graduate from high school can find a job with 75k potential without going to college? Maybe if you count strippers and escorts if you are ok with that?

I worked with a guy with blonde hair once and he was LLLAAAZZZZYYYY. Seriously, the laziest turd you’ve ever seen.

Ever since then, I know that blonde guys just are not hard workers or capable of the job I do. You can try to tell me differently but I know what I seen baby boy.

Every so often I watch the news and almost everytime there is a crime committed the perpetrator happens to be a minority . Does that mean that only minorities commit crimes? Of course not but it sure don’t look good for them. Same goes for muslims on airplanes. Is every one of them a terrorist? Of course not but unfortunately others ruined it for them.
You can slice this a hundred different ways but the moral to the story from what I seen, is that women do not belong in the trades just like girls don’t belong in boy scouts. They are not strong enough or many times not smart enough to do many of the things the jobs require. Sure there are a few that work out but I have seen 1 out of 20 in my 30 years so that number doesn’t look good for the ladies.

    not smart enough

jesus! sounds to me like you aren’t smart enough. I can maybe buy the argument that a woman can be at a disadvantage when it comes to a job demanding they be able to lift 100# all day type of thing, and certainly there are women that could manage that, but not smart enough! You lost me there pal but by all means keep digging. I used to work construction with a 55 year old guy who couldn’t read. didn’t stop him from earning bread and it wasn’t because he was that gifted at carpentry either let me tell ya

Not where you are going with it, but there are thousands of retail management positions that are currently filled by non-college degree holders across the country that probably fit that criteria. In fact, some of those positions dwarf that $75k number when you factor in bonuses.

I actually think it would be a fun exercise for you to name all the jobs females are incapable of doing. You’ve kind of been coy making your feelings known, so maybe specify for each why they couldn’t do it.

And do you mean $75k in male salary terms or female salary terms? Because $75k for a female is like $85k for a male. Which makes sense with girls being like so dumb and stuff.

Can I ask what you do for work? I’ll wait until later tonight for a response as I’m sure your wife is currently rubbing your feet as you eat the warm meal she had ready for you when you graced her with your presence.

I would trade the ones I’ve seen who float from contractor to contractor for years and years in for a military gal who knows how to work a cordless drill. We got one that has to be re-trained daily and the ONLY reason she was hired was to give my employer the right to bid county work. Pretty messed up if you ask me.

two things.1)You must really suck at training people. 2) you lack the ability to make good decisions,as shown by your comments.

i paid down my student loans to about half way until i got a decent bonus from work and polished them off. that payoff letter was great. i wasn’t burdened with a ton of student loan debt but still.

before getting married we set a goal of taking care of my student loans and then never borrowing money for anything outside of a mortgage. and so far so good *knock on wood* 15 years later.

Yes sir, that’s our plan more or less. In 3 years time we should have everything paid off accept the mortgage. Financial freedom indeed. The wife and I both work so it would be nice not to have to be so concerned if one of us happens to get the pink slip

Both my wife and I have student loans and being 26 we still have a ways to go on them, but just last month we were both able to pay off one of the smaller “sub-loans” lumped into the total sum for each of us. Definitely was a morale booster and showed that there is indeed a light at the end of the annoyingly long tunnel…

I went in with the strategy of trying to reduce the term length of all my borrowings when I had the chance to do so. Eliminate short terms, turn mid terms into short terms, 30 yrs into 15 yrs. If you look at taxes, retirement savings, mortgages, education accounts for kids, etc. you already have a lot of your income tied up in long term financial commitments. Always good to get things like credit card debt, car loans, student loans off the books.

Congrats Crappie! I bet you physically felt the weight lifted from the debt.

Shortest path to wealth is having no debt of any kind.

If you’re getting a sizeable return by the way…I’m not a CPA… BUT you might want to sit down with one and/or your HR/payroll person as you’re getting too much taken out of your check. You should be getting a tiny return if any. Letting Uncle Sam borrow that money all year (interest free) and paying you back isn’t “Free Money” or a windfall that many people think it is. Your withholdings aren’t set up correctly. If you’re set up with steady pay (hourly or salary) you should be able to sit down with a professional to look at adjusting your W-4 to make sure you get what’s yours every pay period.

yeah I hear ya. I fully understand the “government is borrowing your money for free” concept and its true. Ive just always claimed 0 cause it was easy and I honestly don’t really care. I know monitoring my taxes and adjusting things would be in my benefit but ive just never cared enough to bother with it but I guess it wouldn’t take much effort to make the change. Ive heard of guys who claim 0 half the year and then claim 1 the other half. My co-worker said he and his wife used to claim 1 all year and then claim like 14 or something absurd for the month of December and his return would be close to $0. Of course it would change based on each individual. I might look into it. Thanks!

to clarify when I say smart, I bundle common sense smart into it too. here are some doozies just this week from our experienced 4th year female electrical apprentice:
    1. we had a guy call in sick this week so I was forced to have her pull wire with a group. she thought about it for a few minutes and when the guys took off, she asks me if there was some easier work she could do. ARE YOU Fword kidding me!
    2. after pouting for a few days she toughed it out. I thought I would give her a break the next day since I am the NICE guy out of all of us so I had her take some brackets off. easy work right…..WRONG. she got tired of using her hand held skrew driver because it was too hard so she took a cordless drill with the wrong tip and proceeded to strip out over a dozen skrews before she bothered telling anyone. common sense stuff but maybe I’m not smart enough to stand over her right?
    3. here is another that drives the guys nuts. we have been using the same elevator for 4 months. every time you push the button, it lights up. when the elevator shows up, the light turns off. there is about a 5 second pause and then the door opens. she ALWAYS tries to push the button again because she thinks no one pushed it and we are all just standing there. you would think after using the same elevator 100 times a week, one would notice these obvious things. once the elevator door opens, she immediately piles forward with no regard for anyone getting off. EVERY Fword TIME! the looks she gets are priceless.
    4. today she asked me if she could put the wooden cable spools into the metal wire recyclers. common sense stuff right…….ABSOLUTE GOLD! applause

hey crappie let me know if you got some electrical needs at home. I can send over our most experienced installer.

    1. thanks for the tip, I will push my 10 year old girls into the retail field!
    2. check above post. I can fill you in on next weeks doozies if you like.
    3. i think 75k is pretty comfortable for men and women, not sure what you mean by differnt?
    4. electrical contractor.
    5. if i want to starve, i will let my wife cook but usually i take care of the dinners. i think the last time she got me a warm meal was when she opened some baked beans and put them in the microwave.

perhaps brutal honesty is frowned upon? I miss the days when you could actually have an opinion and not leave others butthurt over it.
    1. I run work not a training facility. In our industry 4th year apprentices are well trained before we get them but somehow a few slip through the cracks. In my experience it has been the gals that can’t keep up.
    2. I make many great decisions or I wouldn’t be as successful as I have been but thanks for your concerns or assumptions since you don’t know me.

Eyeguy the female that you work with sounds like a real dimwit and she definitely deserves to be called out for it. Your problem is you applied her qualities to half the world’s population in calling all women incompetent at what she is trying to do.
