Big Carp near Waconia

Last year we got decent carp on the south fork crow river in watertown above the dam but this year after the flooding there hasn’t been any activity. Crow river is also obnoxious to fish because of how often hooks get stuck. Any recommendations? I’d prefer quality over quantity for size but I would like to catch a few before the winter.
