I just got a big buddy to use in my xth lodge. How long can I expect the fan to run on the D batteries?

I wish I could help but something always seems to hit my toggle switch and it goes dead before I can use it. Lol

Wire up a 6v rechargable. It will fit in one of the side compartment and save you a bunch of $$$. Here is a link for YouTube on how to do it.https://youtu.be/JbHzHg2cf58

Try it out before you spend money on a different battery. I don’t use the fan much anymore, never noticed that it does any good. A fan at the top of the tent does a better job in my opinion.

Depends how long you use it I had two days out of mine running nonstop because I forgot to shut it off

This is so timely because I just finished a comprehensive video last night on how to modify for a variety of power options including 12V. I hope to get it uploaded tonight.
But to answer the OP, it seems that under good circumstances, the math would suggest about 24 hours of run time on 4 d cell. I tend to think this is a bit steep though. The main thing to know here is the fan consumes approx. 400mA of power.

I’ve only used my fan once never noticed any difference, I’d rather have a ceiling fan, l use a battery operated one with a high ,low switch works great and they are around $20
