This year’s family trip is to Big Bass Lake September 3-10, staying at Hidden Haven Resort. The 4-year-old has made it clear he’ll be in the boat most of the time with us, and I’ve got the 2-year-old started on the fundamentals with the ice rod/training rod I’ve set up.
Anyone have any experiences or advice they could share? Would be nice to find some walleye and also troll some cranks for northern in the right areas.
Bluegill and crappie would be great too, especially since the 4-year-old can hang his ice rod over the edge and fish vertically. I’m guessing pockets of weeds that we can find, any specifics that anyone would care to share? Presentations or colors? Last year on Nokay Lake we got on a real good bluegill/crappie bite and the little guy loved catching his own fish.
Thanks in advance for any ideas/help.
