Anyone getting excited for the temps this next 7 days? Bets on water temps for shallower lakes around Alex in a week from now? Hoping the walleyes will be on the chew if we can drop to low 60’s water temp!

I still observed 74 degrees on Friday night. I think it will still be 65 in a week here. It takes a long time for water of that volume to lose that much thermal energy.

Depends a lot on the wind. A cool windy day can drop the temp pretty fast.

I’m heading for leech lake for the next 2 weekends. Anyone have a recent lake temp from leech. I see they had frost warnings for last night. I see mid to upper 30’s for the next 3 nights. I was hoping for some cooler water temps by our trips and it looks like I will get it.

Depending on the wind and with an average temp of 50.5 degrees in the next 5 day forecast (in my area), I think we will drop 12 to 18 degrees.

Sorry, I didn’t realize this was an Alexandria area thread. My previous post indicating the water temp was 74 was the wrong region. Carry on

Not Alex but shows the temp fluctuation. Mille Lacs was 70 on Saturday. Monday morning it was 53 and climbed up to almost 60. So I would say low 60’s is a definite possibility.
