Now that I have a new Auto that is not leaking oil, I want to clean the oil stain on my concrete driveway. Anyone care to share what has worked for them?

We used to used floor dry and a 2×4 at my folks house. I asked my concrete guy about rust stains from my old truck and he said use iron out.

This stuff worked great for me on paving stones. Use it full strength.

    dawn

Hot water and Dawn scrubbed in and then put newspaper over and brush the newspaper down with a floor broom. The Dawn lifts the oil and being lighter than water it is trapped in the newsprint.
It may take a couple applications and may never totally remove the stain.

Just squint, otherwise degreaser and a tooth brush. The dawn is a good go to as well. Just don’t expect all the stains either way to come up. Especially if they are old.

That was one product I’d read good reviews on. I may give that one a shot

We’ve used Pour-N-Restore oil stain remover and it worked well. Found it at ACE. Older the stain, the tougher it may be to eliminate entirely.

Carburetor cleaner and stiff bristle brush to remove the stain, then Brake Parts cleaner to evaporate any remaining oils. Repeat as necessary.
Oil absorbing pads are excellent at preventing stains from chronic oil leaks. Hit accidental spills with brake cleaner ASAP to prevent stains/residue.

Paint thinner on the sports and then put floor dry over it. I just had Hydraulic fluid all over mine. Works best if the floor dry is fine or you crush it up.

Nascar uses dry Tide for cleaning the pits work it in dry then water and brush, works darn good on my garage floor, depending on stain I don`t think there is anything that will get it all out. My garage gets used to fix all kinds of farm machinery so it takes a beating, from grease, 80-90 weight and oil stains.

This. We have also used carb and brake cleaner pretty effectively. Need to be a little careful as it will lighten older concrete.

Well years ago I was taught pour some gasoline on the stain stand back, light a match. Repeat as needed.

Now whenever a guest vehicle leaves a spot, gas, rag and elbow grease.

How big is stain and how long has it been there?
