Slimfold Micro. Light, rugged & fits in my front pant pocket. I’ve had mine for at least 4 years and it shows no sign of wear.

Do you guys with the ridge wallet carry your fishing/hunting licenses in it along with your credit cards?

I’m with Captain Musky. I put my fishing license inside the case on my cell phone.

You guys who switched to a ridge style, do you guys like that over a traditional wallet ? I notoriously have to much crap in my wallet and I’m on the debate to try the ridge .

I used to carry more than needed in my traditional wallet. Likely because there was room. Figured out the essentials, took photos of some things and ditched the rest. Going on 6 months and don’t miss the old wallet at all. Much smaller profile and no bulge to sit on.

I ordered one today, found the titanium one for 50 bucks. I’m going to give it a go and see how I like it. I also have more crap then actually needed in my wallet.

Well this ridge wallet just showed up, first impressions are i think it’s dumber then hell. I’m going to give it a few days before I toss it, but sliding cards on each other will ruin my cards especially when a little concrete dust gets mixed in. And with the cash strap seems dumb I have to pull out all my cash to grab a 5 or 20 or something. That and working in the summer my cash is going to be wet from being in my sweaty pants pocket.
Hopefully I’m wrong on my initial impression. Glad I got it for 50 percent off. I’d kick my self for spending over a bill on it.

I got the Amazon knock off from this thread – honestly kinda like it . Worried about the dust in my pockets from field work destroying my cards as well though . Cash is a little cumbersome if you fold it so it’s not sticking out the edges

I’m a money clip guy because I then won’t carry a ton of BS that I don’t need…but I too get my cards more beat up than in a traditional wallet. It’s easier to quickly pull out cash from a clip than it is from those band deals in my experience on the Ridge wallets.

I’ve started leaving my clip in the center console more often now when I’m working or out in the woods doing something to combat the dust/sweat factor.

This ridge came with both the money clip and cash strap so I can switch them if need be. I will say my 2 hour drive to duluth this morning was pleasant without sitting on my wallet.
2 times today I had to pat my pocket and remembered I switched wallets. I felt like it was lost at first. My co workers said he did that for the first couple weeks.

Where did you find the deal on one? Or if you want to offload yours I’ll give you what you paid.

I use the clip. With respect to wearing on cards, I insert them such that the magnetic strip is on the outside edge which minimizes the distance it has to slide on another card. I keep the most used card on top. When I push them out, I can slightly lift up on the card to provide a little clearance.

This. I only use my debit card and rare occasion Sams or medical insurance card. Those are at the bottom. I push out the top two cards when I am getting my debit out and push them back in.

Ebay had a private sale, paid 47 bucks free shipping for a brand new unopened box. It’s the burnt titanium one
I love ebay, I message sellers and haggle, works 99 percent of the time.

I use the money clip on my Ridge. Also do pretty much everything already mentioned. When I first made the switch, drove to town, no wallet, made it half way back home before I realized my Ridge was in my front pocket. Took awhile to get used to not having wallet in back pocket.

Well so far I like the small profile of the ridge, I’ve gotten used to it in my pocket. It’s comfortable and I can’t feel it when I’m sitting in my truck.

The cash thing is still a concern. Being in the field I am, I work and sweat alot and I always have a few hundred cash on me so I’m worried about it getting damp, but time will tell. So far so good.

No way I’m ever going to spend $100 on a wallet that will never have more than $30 in it.

Fossil sells good leather wallets and they usually have lots of good ones on sale. Last year I ordered a cardholder for around $20 cad and it’s been perfect.
