Did you fertilize at planting? Where are you located? When did you plant?

I fertilize b4 planting but never after they are up.
    Curious if anybody else does.

I don’t reapply fertilizer unless it looks like the plants are struggling. If my plot is looking weak at about 60-70 days from sprouting, I’ll apply 19-19-19 at about 125#/acre.

I should note that I fertilize pretty heavy at planting. Usually in the 400# + / acre. Makes for some massive lush plants if they get enough water and sun.

Don’t forget to test your soil. for best results you want to keep the PH level around 6.0-6.5

I don’t top dress very often either, I usually apply 100-150 lbs of urea (46-0-0) at planting time to my brassica and leave it at that, but like Randy said, if they are looking weak or yellowing I will go in with another 50 lbs per acre at 3-4 weeks after planting just before a good rain event.
