Best side of lake and resort for ice fishing?

Hey guys wanted to see if I could get some advice from Mille lacs experts. I plan on having a few buddies come up ice fishing this year and would like recommendations for best resorts and areas to have a successful trip. Last year was my first year ice fishing the lake and was on the south end it was pretty slow. Was thinking of trying the red door up on the north end and fishing the mudflats. Is this a much better area for ice fishing? Thanks

I have always had good luck out of appledorns.

I think so. Red Door is great and there’s a ton of fishy structure nearby. Seems like less traffic than the south or east side too, which is nice.

“Best side of lake” ? Always the other side from wherever I am fishing!
