Best Scissors or other tool to cut braided line

As always seems to be the case I seem to have lost all my cutters that I use to cut braided fishing line. Over the years I’ve tried many different tools. None of them seem to do a great job. When joining braid to Fluro it would be nice to get something that cuts cleanly. Doing some research online, these 3 keep coming up at the top of various reviews. Have any of you used any of these three:
    Cuda Micro
    Boomerang Snips
    SamsFX

I like the Cuda Micro as they are way cheap. only a little over 3 $ – at the rate I seem to lose them that doesn’t hurt as much.
Is there anything else I should look at?
I may just order 1 or each and see what ones work the best

My Benchmade pocket knife. Clean cut and I have it 100 percent of the time. I’ve tried and lost every other tool. The knife is the best. I did the line cutterz thing but it would rip my braid after a half season and leave strings

I use the rapala braid scissors. Have two of them in the boat at all times in the tool holders.

I like the Boomerang Snip. It goes on a lanyard around my neck along with jig eye opener and some other tools, so it’s always handy. I also keep a scissors in with other tools, but the Boomerang Snip is what gets used most often.

That is 2 now who like the rapala scissors. That one one of them that got poor reviews in several of the reviews I watched.

I just use finger nail clippers or my Leatherman.

Nail clippers are great for Mono or Fluro, but for me the worst on Braided line. They more rip or tear than cut. They leave the cut area all frayed.

A lighter can work well too. No fraying when you melt the tag end.

I’ve got a line cutterz that’s velcroed onto the handle of my pliers (versus velcroing it around a finger like a ring. Everything is right there with that tool then to remove hooks, tune baits, cut any sort of line. Mine is probably on its 5th or 6th season and cuts braid with no fraying whatsoever.

Slightly off-topic. I was at the dentist last year and the hygienist says there are ridges or indents on your upper front tooth. I said I guess that is 40+ years of trimming fishing line (monofilament). Dentist pops in for is 3 minutes and says – stop … I can get you a cheap pair of scissors if you need them.

Went through 3 Boomerangs, they get dull very fast on heavier line. Cheap little Rapala scissors work great. Be sure to get the one with the big finger openings. Wall paper knife with snap off blades work good to.

Do those line cutterz cut close to knot? They look like they’d leave a large tag end. Many of my braid cuts are to mono leaders and want a very close cut.

Rapala sheers work for me. They also double as my gill snipper if I feel like keeping a few for a meal.

Cheapo Fiskars little scissors, in craft/school supply isle at Walmart. I bought a ton of them on clearance for $.50 a pair and gave them to my fishing buds.

I have two rings one on each side of the boat on the rails. Always know where it is. Works great.

My line cutterz was crap. Maybe I got a fluke. But I don’t see it worth trying to buy another when the first was crappy.

You are the only person I’ve ever heard say that. Some people just don’t think it’s as easy as just snipping but nobody says it doesn’t cut as advertised. Anyway, Linecutterz came out with a micro scissor that won the best accessory award at Icast. I’ve had mine for a year and it’s still the best thing I’ve used. Has the regular dual sided cutter and a scissor that is still cutting braid razor clean a year later. No other scissor I’ve used has been able to do that.

Yes they do. The issue I had with them was that they don’t get close enough to the hook eye to cut the knot clean off the hook. That has since been remedied by opening up the gap a little on the newer style flat mount and the new micro scissors.

Mine cut great for the first 100 snips. And now it tears the line and leaves frays like I had said above. I really liked them at first.
No intentions of putting a company down especially one you rep. I was just giving my real world experience

I wasn’t implying that Bearcat. You’re just literally the first person I’ve heard say that it has worn out.

I have a few pair of Boomerangs. I like them better than scissors. But they don’t like saltwater. Need to keep them cleaned and lubed. Freshwater,no issue.
