The cajun finn from northern waters is incredible

The nashville hot chicken sandwich from OMC is the best (and spiciest) chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.

if you like a reuben please go check out stanleys in NE. best ive ever had. as far as chains go i like potbellys. a little too pricey for my taste now though

do gyros count as a sandwich? if so Ariana Kabob in St Louis Park has great gyros

side note – i sometimes wish i grew up closer to st paul. it seems like they have so many awesome food places there that are little hole in the wall neighborhood places. ive honestly just never spent much time in that area other than to go see a Wild game once in a while

    Mayslack’s

    That brings back memories.
Went there with guys from work back in the 80’s. Field trip to where Amana, North of the cities, was making microwaves when they 1st came out.

Great big polish guy, I believe he was a wrestler, was behind the counter. Held my plate out while served me up a big old stack of garlic beef on a huge bun. Dam near dropped the plate, he grinned and said Don’t drop that plate boy, use both hands!
    Gawd that was good.

Winona sandwich company is awesome also. I love the Tai Chicken.

Oh man, I like Acoustic Cafe better but lived very close to Winona Sandwich company and that place sustained me for a couple years of my life – VERY good sandwiches and it was always affordable. I gotta get back to the college town and hit up all the old places (that are still there).

    Mavericks roast beef

That’s a great suggestion, used to go there all the time when we lived in St. Paul.

I love Reubens. Never had one at Stanley’s but they should have made the Burger list too.

Wouldn’t be the first time, those degenerates think a casserole with pizza ingredients is pizza!

Slow down there now. Now you are stepping way over the line. I’m not a big fan of chicago, but the one thing they have going for them is Pizza. All my top 3 pizza places are in Chicago. Probably the top 10 for that matter.

Stan Mayslack was a pro wrestler back in the Golden Age of wrestling. Retire to Northeast Minneapolis, bought a bar and started serving garlic roast beef sandwiches. Went there often in the 80s & 90s with the crew from work. We’d get back to the office and all get the garlic sweats, office smelled awful.

Urinals at Stanley’s were originally at Stasiu’s Bar. Stanley’s bought them when Stasiu’s closed and was torn down. They are really cool.

In St Cloud, Definitely Bo Diddley’s… the little one behind Lund’s/Byerlys was my go to. In Brainerd, I like Mickey’s.

I always thought that Quizno’s made a decent toasted sub. Really don’t see many around anymore though. The chicken carbonara was my favorite one there.
