Hey all – can anyone recommend the best route from the Cannon Falls area to the Nisswa? Haven’t been that way in a number of years, time to enjoy some cabin life.

Headed there next week for an extended weekend family trip – boat will be in tow.

    Thank you!

I’d get to 494 and then to 94. Use MN 15 to Us 10 in St. Cloud. Then US 10 to MN 371. US 10 is under major reconstruction in Anoka/Ramsey, and also in St Cloud. You’ll avoid all the above construction traffic and delays.

I’d imagine it largely depends what time of day (and what day) you are traveling since your route goes thru the twin cities metro area. Pull up google maps right as you leave and it will tell you the fastest way and also take into account and road construction

    Like BC said, google maps.
They take the traffic and road construction into the calculation

Construction isn’t necessarily updated, we went to zumrbo falls this weekend and maps had us detour from work on 52, it ended up being open single lane and I went for it and glad I did, maps updated right away and shaved off 15 min from our trip.

How that may change I have no idea

This is the route I have been taking to and from the cities as of late

    Interesting,
I get notifications of speed traps when a county mounty is parked on the side of the highway.
Not quite sure how they do that

Someone ahead of you hit the alert icon and selected speed trap.

User added data, it’s the comment bubble w the plus sign on the map navigation screen. Not sure what they use for the algorithm on it but imagine ya get enough users who say one is in the area Google throws the radar gun on our screens

Ripalip I go up north from the same area as well and I’d recommend the same as others have said for the most part, except I’m typically am outlier and take 94 right thru the cities instead of trying 494 or 694.

What day of the week are you going? Not that it impacts much, you gotta go when you gotta go, but pulling a boat thru the metro full of traffic can suck.

Dan – headed up Wed am, through Monday. Hopefully avoiding cities congestion, and saving some traffic anxiety for my bride ha!

If going at non-peak times – take the 94’s and you’ll cruise right up. I would take the Clearwater exit and jump over to 10 as well, rather than go to HWY 15. Again, talking NON-PEAK times. If it’s middle of a week day the 1-lane construction traffic is barely noticeable going through St. Cloud.
