Best Rain Gear option for open water fishing

I am in need to upgrade my rain gear i have had for many years. Anyone have suggestions on what works best and lasts through open water season?

I have Simms rain gear which works really well.

i will check that out, I am tired of buying cheaper stuff and leaks after 1 summer. nothing worse than water going down my back in a downpour or get up from my boat seat and my pants are all wet for the day

In the past Cabelas had some of the best out there for a decent price. I dont know if their quality has remained the same because I know it has dropped in some other products because of Bass Pro, but they may be worth the look.

Personally I have purchased BlackFish brand raingear. Specifically the soft-shell Zenith and although it says soft shell it repels all the water and wind I’ve thrown at it thus far, I really look forward to using it some more. Super comfortable and a really quality product!

I have had great experiences with the Cabelas Guidewear Gortex over the past 10yrs. Their insulated gear is great for ice fishing too

It was really expensive so he had to have it. .
