Osseo Meat Market has been the place for me my whole life. I’ve tried Von Hansen’s(Champling) and Brother’s meats (Maple Grove), they are good- but not quite like Osseo Meats. You’re guaranteed your meat back too. I’ve heard of some places combining deer for sticks/jerky.

Osseo meats jerky is real thick and almost any flavor you’d like! Great place.

Widmers Market in St. Paul, hands down best steak I’ve biught. I used to buy meat at Von Hansons and Lund’s/Byerly’s and Widmers is my new go to place.

The DOUBLE smoked bacon and ham–both whole and deli style sliced, are 2nd to none. And they make brats in a smaller diameter size that are great/better for in buns than the thicker more common size brats. Tough to beat Thielen’s, no doubt.

That said, the BEST garlic summer sausage I have ever run into is made by Schweiss’s Meat Market in Sleepy Eye Minnesota. I drive our venison 200 miles each way to get them to make the garlic summer sausage for us…and then 200 miles each way, again, to pick it up! LOL For many years running now…

And then there’s the potato sausage at Thielen’s!
