Even time I power up my Marcum Lx7 on the ice I think of how great it looks. I don’t think I could back to looking at a traditional flasher again.

After using vex products for 26 years just purchased the Lx-6 the day before Christmas and couldn’t agree more! Awesome units.

WOW. This is a new step in product loyalty. The LX7 sunset photo. Glad you like your Marcum.

I actually believe confidence in gear makes a difference. I feel I know my LX7 enough to tell what’s going on below me, and if it’s worth spending time in that location. Along with that, when I bring new people out fishing they get excited being able to understand what they are seeing on the screen.

I was very close to buying the Fl28 before I bought the lx7. The main thing that sold me on the Marcum was open water mode for use in my kayak. After using the lx7 since the beginning of the ice season I’ve become 100% sold on it.

I convinced my buddie to switch from his FLX28 to a LX7 and he is very happy. When I got mine I didn’t think I would ever use the scrolling graph, now I won’t fish without it. What a way to detect the ones that come in tight to the bottom. You can even pick out there dorsal fins in blue. Since I swi from Vex to MarCum I couldnt be happier. I’m not knocking Vex they make a almost bullet proof unit but are falling behind the tech curve.

Vex took a big step in the right direction with the 28. I wouldn’t even say that they’re behind in tech. At this point it more of a matter of what you like and feel comfortable with.

But for my money I’ll take the Lx7 Every day of the week (twice on Sundays, as James would add).

    My opinion: LX7!

Although, if I’m drilling 100 holes, I have my Showdown in hand.

My old 8 is the most beautiful thing in the world to me. It’s old enough now and beat up enough that it feels old-fashioned. Of course it still puts the biscuits in the basket which is the idea.
