Best location to see shelters in person? Northeast WY

Wife and I are looking to get a flip over shelter this year. We live in Northeast Wyoming in the black hills and typically drive to Rapid city Scheels and though it is a fantastic store, with great service and staff it is quite small and they don’t have the square footage to set many shelters up. We would like to look at the clam Yukon XT, eskape 2600 and the otter offerings in person as you can only tell so much not being in person. Any ideas on where one might go in our neck of the woods to get hands on with options?

Not really in your neck of the woods, more on the other side of the forrest, but you may be interested in making a trip this coming weekend to the Dakota Angler Ice institute in Sioux Falls.

Yow can see just about every thing there, all set up and ready for you to sit in and look at. I have bought 3 shacks and 2 float suits at the show. Last time I was there I bought a float suite for the kid and a bunch of tackle and plastics. I added it all up and scheels would have been close to a grand, I got out of there for less than 700 bucks and paid to get in, had expensive pops and hot dogs to boot! the shack I bought there 4 years ago was about 250 bucks cheaper than I was figuring I was going to spend as well. Not so much savings on the shack itself, but the stuff they threw in on the deal like the cover, storage nets, lights and hitch. May be worth the trip for you.

Cabelas in Rapid City is a sizeable store. They’ll have what you’re looking for.
