Wondering where others are installing the fire extinguser in their boats?

You aren’t required to mount it somewhere, just so you know. It just has to be accessible.

I have mine in a compartment that has a side opening on the mid starboard side of my tiller boat. Just a few feet from the driver seat.

Thanks….no wonder it was in the “glove box” when boat was purchased.

You just have to remember where it is when asked or it’s needed. Not looking through each compartment and digging through a pile of junk to find the extinguisher at the bottom.

If it takes 5 minutes to find it when LEO asks, it will take 5 minutes to find when a fire is spotted.

Have mine mounted under the drivers console standing straight up easy to get to and very visible to just about anyone in the boat.

After 5 years of thinking about where to mount it mine is still just rolling around in the center floor storage that is right in front of the rod locker.
