This is the same station that ran a piece on the best mani-pedi and tried to tell us that it was the manly thing to do.
still fun to watch. I’ve actually stopped at a few of those places over time. For me the best news channel in our area. With the best TV shows.
Belletine, I usually blame that on age!
May 10, 2018 at 7:32 am #1773832BTW, for all that voted here…matters not. Votes cast here were not counted.
Perhaps we should start our own contest?
OK, I pick Evan

May 10, 2018 at 7:49 am #1773836Typically it’s an area they cover, pay them to find the hit bite, even the best of lakes go dead once in awhile, no?
Plenty of guides concentrate/specialize on one lake or river or even stretch of river 95% of the time… some names mentioned in this thread clearly fit this) and if they have to leave said water “lakes go dead once in awhile” are they really guiding or just chasing a hot bite/tip they received on a lake they rarely fish ?

Tim, it says MN, I only guide the WI side of the GPS line on boarder waters for maximum lines on ice and open water, and sunfish for cats
May 10, 2018 at 9:34 am #1773878What about this guy with two thumbs? Oh sure, my stories suck, I don’t catch as many fish, my equipment is average, but I have offered free boat rides to dozens of folks here, always had a great time and never asked for a dime!!!

You got my vote Dave! In perfect MN fashion your stories were average, fishing was decent but not great, the weather changed about 4 times and the price was right!
Tonight at ten…I promise.
My DVR will need an apology if you’re wrong again BT!
klangPosts: 176May 10, 2018 at 4:12 pm #1773983Marty gets my vote. Went out with him several times. Takes time to teach you and answer questions.
May 10, 2018 at 6:27 pm #1774000Man I hope it’s not Granrud. I went on three trips with the guy and had a mediocre experience each time.

May 11, 2018 at 12:34 am #1774054Congratulations Mr Sundin!
We learned two things.
1. It’s not a popularity contest.
2. The Best of MN segment isn’t all that bad.Oh, and 3. Bullcans, ya never call…
FryDog62Posts: 3696May 11, 2018 at 11:10 pm #1774218I have to disagree about Roach. A group of us fished with him last winter and I must say he was very personable and easy to get along with, plus he put us on lots of big fish. To each their own I guess, but would definitely book with him again.
targamanInactiveWilton, WIPosts: 2759May 11, 2018 at 11:49 pm #1774221It’s probably a good idea to be personable and get along with your clients when you guide for a living
saugeye-stevePosts: 293May 12, 2018 at 5:40 am #1774229$400.00 for 8 hrs.

May 12, 2018 at 8:23 am #1774253“Neustrom is probably in the top 500 of guides in the state.“
Who is that?
Personally I would have voted for Captain Winchester.
Jeff deserves the title.

Marty Hahn has to be in the top 10 for sure.!! . Marty has to adapt to evrer changing river conditions and he is very good at that.! High water Low Water Rising Water Dropping Water Clear Water Dirty Water In between Water Cold Water Warm Water Warming Water Cooling Water Etc. Etc. Etc. An he does that all year long.! There is NO Closed Season on pools 2 3 an 4. An Besides He Is A Super Guy That Will Help You Any Way He Can. . That’s My Vote. . rrr
May 15, 2018 at 8:00 pm #1774915If Marty is not the best, he gets my vote for the hardest working guide for sure!
