Tonight on ‘CCO their best in MN segment is fishing guides. Who does everyone think it is?
I’ll post who it is for those that miss it.

Either Griz or Neustrom. It will depend on how much effort was put into this. Griz is likely the most well know and Neustrom is probably in the top 500 of guides in the state.

My money is on Griz as well, due to media exposure over the years as much as anything.

I’d bet on Granrud and Rainy Daze, they have a huge social media presence that will help in the voting.

Not doubting that however I’m not sure he’s had the years media attention that the Griz or others have had. Not everyone is on Facebook

If it’s a popularity contest, which I’m sure this is, does it really even matter? They might be great guides but there are better lesser known guides out there that won’t get recognition.

Completely Agree, still curious however. It’ll be a nice marketing tool for someone.

He’s very responsive too, Kory. I’ve had some pretty long conversations with him via messenger.

I agree. He did a good job hosting this weeks episode of Anglingbuzz as well.

I’ve also never heard a bad word about Granrud!

X3 for Granrud! I also had a good talk with him via messenger last week about ice out conditions up there. I honestly didn’t think he’d get back to me, but he did within an hour.

Not a fan of Roach, ever since he very intentionally cut my drift off out on 3 mile reef. It was kinda a d*** move on purpose. Was even fishing the same species as him and his clients.

Good to know. Joe, do you target them in the summer also? If so, interested in getting a date on the calendar!

There should be 2 categories… first for those who guide on basically 1 lake, and those who guide on ANY lake/river. my .02

Are their guides who just do one lake? I’m not familiar with any but I don’t know many.

Typically it’s an area they cover, pay them to find the hit bite, even the best of lakes go dead once in awhile, no?

Sounds like the ‘griz’ when I happen to be fishing any number of spots on his p2 milk run. Doesn’t matter where you are in your drift w bow mount down, he’s going to low hole you instead of skipping one of 20 stops on the up or down trip if you are on HIS spot. I get it, you’re guiding and I happen not to be at the time but he doesn’t know that. I’ve been doing the same summer job since 95′ but I still don’t feel the need to low hole any random guy I don’t care how deperate I am with clients.

This is the same station that ran a piece on the best mani-pedi and tried to tell us that it was the manly thing to do.

Yep, that and “Best Doggie Daycare”, “Best Country Bar”, “Best Casino”… whistling

You get the relative importance of this charade. sleeping

BTW, for all that voted here…matters not. Votes cast here were not counted.

Perhaps we should start our own contest?
