I love me a good bloody and it happens maybe 5 times a year. I have tried all the ones with the fancy names and fancy bottles but if I had my choice I always go back to the spicy Mrs. T’s. Zingwang, jimmy luvs, spooky, ditkas, mrs. marys….everytime I try a new mix, I think to myself, why?

    RULES:

for my taste absolutely no horeradish! I eat that str8 out of a jar but don’t be putting it in my mix! give me cayenne, garlic and any other dry heat mixed in.

if you put a giant piece of celery in my bloody……..we will have to throw hands!

For you guys that mix your own recipes, add some CJ’s to the mix. Either in the drink or on the rim of the glass.
Available at Scheels, Hornbachers, and dozens of other retailers across the midwest. Warning…it might have crack cocaine in it, because you’ll find yourself wanting to use it on everything.

Half and half zing zang and clamato. Add a lime, squirt or 3 of worcestershire, and a venison snack stick to stir and munch. Haven’t changed from this for many many years but I don’t like them very spicy.

Try the Curt’s Spicy, it’s in a mason jar. Real good! ZZ is always very good also!

If anyone ever figures out the secret mixture at L&M bar in Dundas, MN I will pay big money for that recipe. It’s hands down the best bloody I’ve had and they’re pretty tight lipped about it.

The Harding Bar in Harding has a pretty good one!

I actually like to use the big can of Sacramento Bloody Mix, and pour it into a resealable jug and mix from there. Little bit of pickle juice, Worcestershire, tabasco, and a couple other ingredients. Can’t say it is the same every time, but I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad bloody in the wheelhouse waytogo

This is very similar to my favorite, but I have a few particular brands of ingredients I prefer.

Clausen pickle juice (about 1/6 of the drink)

Lea and Perrins Worcester sauce (heavy dose)

Crystal Louisiana hot sauce (heavy dose)

A splash of Zing Zang if I have it.

On fishing trips I’ve now been assigned Bloody Mary duty ever since I started sharing them toast

They’re not too hot, not too salty, and not thick.

I hate when I order a bloody at a bar and it’s a thick mix…..I want to drink my drink….not chew it lol

Red Eye, but zing zang comes in a close 2nd

Red Eye Habanero was my absolute favorite bloody mix and made a darn good chili base as well. It disappeared up here some years ago. Where are you buying it at? Is it well distributed down your way?

    2-3 oz vodka
    Half Clamato
    Half zingzang
    1 tbsp horseradish
    Couple shake of season salt
