The Winter Cocktail post got me to thinking about Bloody Mary’s. Curious of what all of your favorite mixes are. Our favorite use to be the Jero Jalapeno brand ( Yes I know cheap brand ) They discontinued it many years ago. I have tried lots of brands since and have not settled on one that I really like. Its a buddy hunting weekend this weekend and I know there will be lots of bloody Mary’s as well as other beverages drank and was looking for a different mix to try. I often mix up a batch of bloody Mary’s and drink them Virgin style ( No Vodka ) Sometimes I crave one but don’t feel like the Vodka in it.

My go to is good ol zing zang, but lately I’ve been getting spooky dill pickle. Also I’ve been using bourbon instead of vodka most bloodies already have a bunch of bold flavors in them so why use a tasteless spirit when you can add to the flavor profile.

I really like the Devil Dave’s mix. It is a powdered mix you add to your liquid. I do a 50/50 V8 and Clamato with a little pickle juice! Have also been adding bourbon in place of the vodka! If you have not tried it, you have to! Making me thirsty!!

I usually get Zing Zangs also. I will have to try mixing one with bourbon. Any particular bourbons that work well?

I normally do a 50 50 mixture of Mix and Clamato. That is why I like the thicker mixes.

Surprised that so many like the Zing Zang – That is the one that most of my friends like the least.

My usual go to is Major Peters (original or the works). If I can’t find that I’ll end up with a bottle of zang
