I’m thinking about putting a canopy on my boat lift, for those who own/owned canopies over the years, in your opinion what’s the best fabric color to get? Thinking about all of the different variables it deals with (Fading, hiding bird droppings and dirt, hiding discolor imperfections, hiding future repairs, etc, etc) Do certain colors have advantages?

I think black looks cool, but I imagine seagulls would think of it as a bullseye!

I see mostly dark forrest green and gray on the water and for sale…

I just bought a cover for my lift, the sales associate told me the fabrics that fade the least are Gray & Sand.
    I would have liked Blue.

We’ve had white and light gray. Not bad for bird crap and fading. They do get dirty, though.

A variation of camo would be cool.

Our old lift had a white one but it was vinyl vs canvas. I kept it when we sold the lift to use for a new lift down the road. It’s lined and super easy to clean.
Keep in mind dark equals Hot
