I’ve been having a tough go at getting the water marks removed. Any suggestions on a product?

I’ve been using a product called Ansol. Spray it on a towel and wipe down, rinse and it looks brand spanking new. Keep away from rubber though, it turns it white.

Trumar picks it up for me in Rochester.

Cheep… but pretty darn effective, mix of vinegar and water. I go 50/50 unless the water marks or other build up is bad, then more like 70/30.

I used some JJVs best and it worked great. I sprayed it on, let it sit for a little bit and scrub it off. Stuff worked great on my old aluminum boat.

My dad just bought me some stuff from fleet farm. I bought a boat from up north and the whole bottom was a rusty brown color on the aluminum. We sprayed a small spot and let it sit. And o boy let me tell you it took it right off. Looking forward to pulling boat out in the driveway and doing Rest today. I’ll get the name of the stuff when I get to the shop this morning.

I’ll bet it was Star Brite hull cleaner. That is what I get from Fleet farm and there is no scrubbing involved. Spray it on, let it sit for 3-5 minutes and rinse it off with water. If it is really bad a second application might be needed in spots.

Last fall though I had Ryan from Marine Clean come out to the house and clean it. That cost a couple bucks,no bad though, but he did an awesome job! The boat had sunk and he shined it up inside and out!

In the past I use the Star Brite acid based hull cleaner with great results. Used it for years but when I searched for it this year it is no longer listed on their website.

So I was hoping to get some new suggestions from this thread.

Last year I got into the habit of running a 10 minute quick cleaning with vinegar water (or Windex) after every trip and found that easier than doing a deep clean at the end of the year.

Any trucking/semi trailer distributor will sell a product used on aluminum semi trailers. It is a acid, I can’t remember which one though
