Best baits for big lake trout

    I’m sure it depends on the body of water but my favorite on superior has been the orange airplane jig. It’s far out produced anything else for me.

    I also use a 3/8 Northland bucktail jig. I wish they had a 1/2 or 3/4 though.

    Many people use white tube jigs but I just can’t seem to make them work well for me.

    Thanks for the info I’m going to try airplane jigs and 5″ tubes this winter. Hope they bring me some luck.
