Best anchor for a 17 ft boat

    Trying to fish wingdams Monday night and my spot lock wasn’t working it’s a 70lb v2 with the ipilot so I’m looking for the best anchor to hold In the current on a wingdams

    If money is not an object,18lb Richter anchor.If you get hung on wood,just pull forward and it is free.Takes a lot less scope than other anchors.

    I always used a rubber coated 3 pronged 35LB. anchor on wing dams and
    it held in even the strongest currents that I wanted to fish.

    25# richter will hold for sure + 3′ chain.

    I have a 17.5″ boat. I’ve never had an issue with the 18# Richtor and 4′ of the vinyl coated chain.

    At least 4′ of chain is beneficial. I have a 25# Richter on my 19′ never had issue holding, she’s a biatch getting in and out though!!
