Have they stopped making Nanofil? Can’t find any.

I haven’t seen Nanofil on stores’ hooks for years. When the Nanofil I have on reels now gets worn out, I respool with Clam Fost braid.

Do you like nanofil only for the castability? Ive found that braid from YGK casts even better than nanofil if you’re interested in trying something else.

I liked Nanofil for its ability to shed water in cold temps. Lot less icing on the line guides.

Think it got discontinued a few years ago. Like Jon said was a good braid for winter fishing. I would usually spool it on a reel late fall so it was fresh for the winter months. Coating would wear off if old. Nanofil casted fantastic to. Abrasion resistance was poor. Needed to re tie jigs often while fishing walleyes.

Loomis 13, that’s exactly why. I will give YGK a try. Thanks for the info.

If they can improve the abrasion issues this will be a fantastic winter braid line.

I hope they bring it back, that stuff is my favorite line for river walleye fishing. Outcasts anything, on par with mono for dealing with below freezing weather, and really allows crankbaits to get deep. Go with 10 or 12lb. if you can find it. I had to retie 1 to 3 times a trip, not too bad.
