    What are some good bets for early ice panfish in the area?

    I am hoping we can be on the ice by the first of Dec this year. It will all depend on the weather but we have some lakes that are pretty protectd from the wind that may freeze up early. Three Island Lake, Cambell and Gull can all be good first ice lakes.

    When I was a kid I used to spend a week every summer on Cambell Lake. There are some very nice ‘gills and Crappies in that lake. Glad to hear it’s still good! Any good places to stay in the area?

    The Pioneer Resort is still going there. I was in one of their cabin last summer. Rustic cabins with about everything you would need there. That is still a great summer lake.
