Am I the only one that cringes at how close the sparkle boat gets to the jagged riprap? I think I lean away from it everytime!😉😄

We filmed that down in Arkansas on an impoundment. That section of shoreline was a sheer drop to deeper water. The only way to hit bottom there was to actually hit the exposed rock.

    Here’s a side story from that shoot…

As we were setting it all up we could hear beagles barking in the distance and the barking was getting closer with every passing minute.

About the time it sounded like the dogs were about the run out of the brush we heard the dogs take an abrupt turn away from us…and then a huge splash.

The dogs had been chasing a pretty good sized buck and that deer came flying off the shoreline rocks and took to the water to get away from the dogs.

We all stood there staring in awe. The guys with the video cameras got an F- grade for wide-eyed gawking without making a serious attempt to record what was happening.

Trust me when I say the rock cliff diving deer was far more memorable than the hole shot video.

I always thought that was likely filmed at the Red Door on Mille Lacs. Neat story.

That shot always gets me to doah

Fishing one fall at the dam late at night there was another angler downstream on shore from me maybe 10yds or so, and same thing, heard a couple walking the dog up on the trail and next thing this deer comes roaring down and splits us and jumps right in. Swims over to the island and walks off. Me and that other guy looked at each other and was like WTF?

Thought that too Smokinbobo until you look in front of the boat and clearly see shoreline on the other side. cant see Onamia coming out of Red Door marina.
