Beers After Work

The woods are pretty wet around Two Harbors and even the crackle of a fire is drowned out by the persistent buzzzzzz of the skeeters. I was working in the garage this evening and had on some generic country. I almost fired up a Steppenwolf CD but was too lazy to switch buttons.

I was at the airport today, next to the campfire ring was a new sign that read:
welcome to our campfire, where its all fun and games until somebody loses a wiener.

maybe thats been around a while but its the first time I have seen it.

We compromised. Painted wine glasses and jammed out. Now just need to bake this beauty and fill it up!

Leinenkugels or New Glarus sitting by a lake in northern Wisconsin. Music – provided by mother nature.

Hadn’t heard of Tyler Childers. Good tunes. If you want something similar but a bit more ‘rocking’ I’d suggest my faves, Drive By Truckers.

As to beer…I only serve light beer to those who don’t like beer. (Sorry, couldn’t resist). Hamms is a fine choice at times – especially for boat beer.

Bumping this back up because I found a free stream of a DBT concert today. I’m going to sit down with a beer and crank up the stereo.

The concert was in Eau Clair 6/10.

    I have the T-shirt.

I commuted to work for 24 years and never turned the radio on. That was some of the best quiet and thinking time I got all day.

Hamm’s is a great 2-for-1 beer… you get both a beer and a laxative for the same price !!

High test IPA’s at a brewpub and then a swing through the Taco Bell drive up. Not a “two’fer” but high end on the front at least. Not recommended for weekdays for when you need to work the next day. razz

    It’s good to be home!

Anytime I’m within a stones throw of a lake up north I’ve got to have a blue moon in one hand and a speaker playing some country music in the other. Without those two things fishing wouldn’t have half as enjoyable for me. Although, based on its popularity around here it sounds like I need to give this Hamms crap a shot blush

It’s Oktoberfest season!!! And while I like most Oktoberfest beers, Schell’s is my favorite.

    And Pumpkin Beers!

And we are also closer to hockey season and being able to enjoy porters and other dark beers.

That may be because there was no other beer. Kinda like turning on the TV and having the choice between ABC, CBS or NBC.

Just tossed a fresh case of hamms in the fridge. Everyone has their own taste, but if you don’t like the flavor of hamms and the price you don’t know what’s good

Going to stop at the Lakeland Beer store on the way home tonight to take advantage of Tuesdays 10% Sr discount when good ol’ Jesse Krook messages me that they have Hamm’s on sale next to his work for just under $11.00.

    Jesse’s bringing a 30 pack over tonight! I like Jesse Krook! @jjkrooked
