Beaver trolling

The beaver moon on Nov 19 has me wondering where I’m going. Usually on leech or Hayward area in the fall up shallow, but might want to change it up to following something a bit easier like a first break.

This fall seems like it’ll be an extended one, anyone else eyeing up some open water time late November on the big water?

Haven’t tried to call any places for rooms yet, all the leave watchers gone by then?

Water temps should be well into the forties but doubt they’ll be under by then? Which is a good thing IMO toast

Had me at beaver. Usually Id be chasing…waterfowl… that time of year but I hung that up. This year Im hoping to be on Otter Tail snapping plastics and trolling F13’s in 4 fow. Water is 62/64 as of last night and Im anticipating high 30’s/Low 40’s by then.

    Clickbait 101 epg.

    Hilarious gill.

Gander I’d usually be doing same thing but low water is gonna have alot of my spots where those shore shelfs are now exposed and those boulders that never caused problems before now Lil headaches. Not that it’s not doable surely but maybe opt out for something easier this year. Idk yet. Good info on temps.

Just by the title of the post I thought this would be from you Nick. I have been thinking about this also. I am not sure where to go. But I can join you and we can wear matching “I will fight that beaver bro” t-shirts.

Any other fellas maybe want to rent up a whole cabin shoot me text. Like to be close to the rocks on the WSW end but that wind that time of year can make it rough.

Most have their deer by then don’t they?! Cribbage tourney is in order
