Was in Fleet Farm in Stevens Point yesterday and seen they had the Jolly Rogers (black with black flag) and the Red wood with the ruler on side version of the Beaver Dams on sale for $34.99. Ended up picking up 2 reds and a Jolly Roger. Just a heads up for anyone in the market for some BD’s

Geez, they were about $8.00 back when I bought all mine. Now that’s how a guy gets to feel old

I had my original Beaver Dams for years and just sold all 5 of them for $50.00. Now I know why the person I sold them too gobbled them up so quick. I didn’t realize that they cost that much now.

Yep, the originals are 39.99 and the specialty ones are usually 44.99 to 54.99. Inflation is a B*&$#!

They are still a classic…hand made one at a time in Beaver Dam WI USA! Pretty much just like they started. I got one a few years ago just to have it. Heaven forbid, but I thought that someday they would be bought out and they’d start making them overseas or something. mad

I love my beaver dams but dang…The price really went up on them. I guess you pay for quality! I’ve been using a combo of the insulated Frabill’s and Beaver Dams for years. I wish the quality of the spool system from Beaver Dam was on the Frabills, I really like the insulation feature.

Wish I could find some of the Beaver Dam insulated ones. I will slowly phase into them.

Ain’t that the truth! I just had that talk with my son in law regarding tools.

Put it this way I have inherited the ones my dad used and I am 41 years old. They work like they were just out of the package. Unbelievable product but yeah they are for sure expensive now. Still have my dad’s hand writing on them designating which ones were mine, my brothers and my dads. Although I seem to use tip downs more than tip ups still get them out and still catch fish on them.

I saw some Beaver Dam insulated ones at FF the other night. They look very similar design as the Frabills, but with the BD spool systems. I think they were around $45.
