Nice bear It’s really hard to tell He is pretty long in the body, his back is pretty flat, Head is decent, but like Big G said no belly sag, I would put him at 250-260 Lbs.(maybe a little bigger) Looks like a 3-4 year old boar, just my 02

I’ve got 3 preference points for this area….would that be a decent bear for a 1st timer?

Not much chest development either…I agree with the 200+ range… A very nice shooter for public land. If he was on private land in my access only I may pass him for the future…but thats me after 36 years chasin em!

    Go get em!

I’m with everyone else, young bear. But, if you feed him right this summer and he could pack on a few extra pounds by the time season rolls around….

    YES!

I would have guessed him at 250, but its almost impossible to tell from a pic with few reference points.

Is he around here? (CF’s area) If so are you thinking you might draw for next year (4 points) – if you are lucky?

He’ll be a touch bigger next year. Plus, he’ll probably look bigger when he shows up a few feet in front of your stand.

[edit: Plus, if it is CF area, there are tons of bears around, and some of them are quite large… Your chances are good with a zone C tag in this area. ]

Sort of…this area is in Clark County near Thorp. Lots of bears but haven’t seen one bigger than this guy. Hoping next year to get a tag! Thanks guys for your responses…looks like next year he might be better anyway!
