In the 1st picture the bottom bear is a bear that i have been watching for about 7 years. he dissapeared in 2008 with no sightings until last week. the picture doesn’t do him any justice. He is almost pure red with a big white v on his chest, I included the second picture of a bear that we have been watching for 6 years. (These pictures are in my yard) we have never had either bear on a bait in the fall.

That red bear is really cool looking! Thanks for posting Bob and I hope you get some more trail cam pics of him.

The big black one never leaves, I see him in the yard all thru the bear season. I don’t think he will ever be killed on a “by the book bear bait” I think it will take something other than the conventional bait pile. I am thinking about using beaver carcasses along the edge of my beaver pond and using a rifle. at long distance. I can’t believe i just said rifle! all 14 of my black bears have been with a bow but after trying for more than 5 years with archery equipment to kill this bear with no success I may change my mind for this bear.
