App for bear hunt

I have never been bear hunting or applied in either mn or wi how many times you got to put in for each state i got hunting ground in both up north i hear i missed out for wi but what about mn

Not sure exactly when the MN deadline is… Maybe around April / May ??? (I could be way off) – look on the MN DNR website. Some MN units don’t have a drawing and/or never sell out (or are in a non-quota area), so you might be able to buy a tag otc depending on the area.

WI takes at least 4-5 years to draw a permit depending on the area. I got REALLY lucky this year and drew a zone C tag with 4 points. Only 193 people out of a 2200 permits drew with 4 points… The rest had 5 or more. Some areas take 8-9 years. Start applying and keep applying if you want a WI tag 4-5+ years from now.

Mn Bear Hunt info

i got drawn the first 4 years i applied, i didnt apply last year but did apply for a bonus permit.

Is that in mn or wi is there better areas to apply in mn i have to areas where i may be able to hunt in mn my dad lives in grand rapids and im sure with some askin i could get in on some private land if need be and we also have a cabin north of two harbors im sure that would have better huntin there i would think

It is MN per the post (Big G’s) above the one you responded to. WI application deadline is December 10 every year. In fact, we should be seeing the mailings for the lucky ones to get tags this season coming out here in Feb./Mar. I am hoping that one in my family got one this year, so that I can get the bait and camera going after a year off.
