How long will bear bait keep?

I have a full 55 gallon sealable barrel of cookie bits and chocolate covered granola left. If I can’t find someone to buy/use it, will the stuff keep until next year?

I have a buddy who will most likely get a zone c tag next year, and I could give it to him. I don’t want to keep it around taking up space if there isn’t a snowballs chance in Hades of it making until next fall though…

Any thoughts? Keep it with high hopes or get rid of it now?

    Thanks!
