Well the season closed for us when I shot this 200 pounder Saturday night ! Seen many nice bears this year but none of the BIG boys showed up Very happy with this bear, He looked like a 300 pounder when he came in and did put on a great show for the camera ! The Rage 2 blade hit it’s mark and he fell with in 30 yards of the stand Other than that we had a very hard time getting these bears in this 2nd weekend , lots of people running around on wheelers and many hunters in our area this year

Did Ceri get an arrow in anything, or did he just eat the bait.

Congrats Jason! I would be very proud to have taken it myself! Any bear that you harvest with a bow is something to be proud of!

I also lightened up your picture for ya so we can see that good lookin’ bear. However, that meant I also had to lighten up your face as well…

Congrats on your bear Jason! All the hard work and baiting paid big dividends, and it sounds like you got the kill on camera? Any chance we’ll be seeing that footage?!! To do it with a bow makes it that much more sweet. Great tip on bringing the gun to the stand as well. Jonny had several hunters in camp that otherwise would’ve tagged out as the bear just circled the bait rather than coming in.

Agreed on your comments regarding the 2nd weekend! I got skunked, almost literally.

Thanks GMAN for the great hunt. I met a bear face to face at 15 yrds while sitting on the ground beside the crib. This was the most amazing (scared) moment of my life. I loved every second of the hunt but was a bit jumpy on cocking the hammer and should have waited but the excitment ran the bear off . This by the way was not the last time we would cross paths, 2 days later as darkness settled in and I was walking out he was circling in the bait. Again I believe both of us had to check our britches when we got home. Well grow big and until next year when we will meet again REGGIE.Thats his name since we know each other so well happy hibernation and be ready for this bear to hunt you another day. Thanks again GMAN

Congrats GMAN! Hope to draw a tag here in WI in the next few years. Just started applying for preference points this past spring.
