    Always hard to say from a butt shot, compaired to the tree and bait I would maybe put him low 300s.

    Nice pics Johnny! Good luck to your camp this Fall.

    On the 3rd to last pic you need to mark heights on that tree like Convenience stores do so when they get robbed they can tell the height of the thief.

    from the times looks like a morning spot do you hunt mornings or just the eve’s my 1st time this year and the bears are showing up late in the morning 11:00 or so and the big guys are late Good luck

    You bet you can hunt mornings, lots of guys get in the rut bear is a evening thing but if you bait right and and can keep the surrounding area under control(no noise, dogs, poeple , ATVs etc etc) bear will come and check in all day until they get spooked. Then it becomes a a night time thing.

    If you have bear coming in late am just get yourself settled in at sun up with a cup of coffee and wait em out.
