Zone C guides near Eau Claire????

    Another great show, but I do have a question. Why does Scott always mark the area on the sled and James does all the drilling?

    I think this is about the same post as Waterswat’s, but here goes…

    I also drew a zone c tag this year (wasn’t really expecting to), and I have very little vacation/free time to hunt. Doing my own baiting is a possibility on a very limited basis, but it will be hard to find the time. Limited access to land close enough to be feesable is another barrier.

    The other problem is that I am going on a black bear hunt in Newfoundland next June (SWEET!!), which limits funding, vacation time, and to some extent drive for this WI bear hunt.

    I would like to find some guides in the area and contact them about the possibility of a “per diem” hunt… Just hunt a day or two here or there when their and my schedules mesh… Something that will help them get an extra buck or two in their pockets, fill an empty stand, and possibly help me (try to) fill my tag without spending a ton of time to do it. Or maybe pay for 3 days of hunting, and if I get the job done in 1, then they pocket some cash for very little “extra” work…

    Any ideas?? I’d like it to be within 1 – 1.5 hours of EC if possible. Any names/numbers/emails for guides in the area are GREATLY appreciated!!!

    Also looking for places to possibly buy bait within 1/2 hour of EC (if available…) I thought I remember there being a bait purchasing site in Cadott??? I know there is one in Ladysmith, but I was hoping to avoid that long of a drive if I decide in the next few days to start baiting…
